UK Space Agency rounds off 2019 with £14.4m in funding

The UK Space Agency published its spending data for the final quarter of 2019 in early March, highlighting funding of some £14.4m in R&D, current and capital grants to the private sector. This is some way behind the £32.6 from the same quarter in 2018, but it rounded out the year to more or less the same overall funding, with £74.644m in 2019 versus £74.026m in 2018.

To assess the Agency’s spending, we strip out the employee expenses, training costs, the costs of other professional services, costs of contractors, etc, to look at the grants and funding awarded to private businesses and universities.
